Extend your studies at Brown to earn a one year masters degree

Brown University undergraduates have the opportunity spend a fifth year at Brown to earn a Masters of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship degree.

Complete a total of 6 courses: 6 required courses | 2 electives waived
Students count to 2 electives from their undergraduate studies, with approval of the program director, toward the electives of PRIME; which provides a 25% tuition reduction ($8,807 per course for AY 2023-24)

  • Early Admission Deadline: December 15, 2023

  • Brown 5th Year Deadline: May 1, 2024

Unique Features of PRIME

  • Condensed June-May schedule allows students to gain hard skills and professional experience in just one year
  • The program can be completed in the traditional face-to-face format on campus or fully online for working professionals
  • Learn core business skills in finance, strategy, marketing, decision making, globalization and management
  • Students use the tools they gained in class at an organization aligned with their career interests in an internship program with a PRIME-partnering company during their studies
  • Participate in business immersion activities in a week-long trip to the San Francisco Bay area, where students interact with company executives, government representatives, and technologists, richly enhancing their classroom experiences
  • PRIME's dedicated space for students is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to carry out class assignments and projects

  • Open to students from any undergraduate concentration; apply during senior year
  • Application fee waived for Brown student applicants
  • Final deadline for Brown seniors to submit their application is May 1, 2024

  • Personal statement: 1000-1500 word personal statement that gives your reasons to pursue graduate work with PRIME. Discuss your interest in technology innovation and/or entrepreneurship and how studying at Brown will further your professional goals.
  • GRE waived
  • TOEFL is not required
