Masters in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship

PRIME Immersive Experiences

trip1

Ready to turn theory into traction? PRIME offers immersive, real-world learning to build your confidence, grow your network, and show you exactly how innovation works across industries and cities.

Throughout the program, PRIME students engage directly with multiple innovation ecosystems, including Providence, Boston, New York, and San Francisco/Silicon Valley. Instead of only studying entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation in the classroom, students step into the rooms where decisions are being made, companies are being built, and opportunities are created.

This is one of the ways PRIME helps students move from potential to momentum.

Why this matters

If you are a recent graduate, one of the biggest questions on your mind is probably some version of:

What is my next step, and how do I actually get there?

PRIME’s immersive experiences are built to help answer that question.

They give students the opportunity to:

  • explore different industries and career paths
  • meet founders, executives, investors, and alumni
  • understand how innovation ecosystems actually function
  • build relationships that can lead to internships, jobs, and future collaborations
  • connect classroom learning to the kinds of work they want to do next

In other words, these experiences are not extras. They are part of how PRIME helps students become more competitive, more connected, and more ready for what comes after graduation.

trip3

A multi-ecosystem learning model

Different ecosystems teach different lessons. PRIME students experience that firsthand.

Providence and Rhode Island
Students build a strong foundation by engaging with the local entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem close to Brown. This includes exposure to startups, institutions, community leaders, and the networks that help ideas move forward.

Boston and Massachusetts
Students gain access to one of the most powerful regional ecosystems in the world, with exposure to healthcare, biotech, AI, venture capital, higher education, and technology innovation.

New York
Students experience innovation in fast-moving sectors like finance, media, consumer products, corporate innovation, and emerging technology.

San Francisco and Silicon Valley
Students who participate in the optional spring break immersion step into one of the world’s best-known startup and venture ecosystems, gaining firsthand access to founders, investors, big tech leaders, and innovation operators.

Together, these experiences help students see that there is no one path into the future. They learn how different regions create opportunity and how to position themselves within those ecosystems.

Special thanks to the PRIME team for an amazing trip! The panel discussions and guest lectures from distinguished alumni and industry professionals provided us with a wealth of knowledge and insight into various career paths, trends, and opportunities. Their willingness to share their personal experiences and provide invaluable advice has left a profound impact on all of us. I’ve learnt a lot from all the company visits and guest speakers. All of the guest speakers are very high quality and insightful.
