Biography

Evy Chen is a founder-operator turned venture investor with a single throughline: behavior change is the moat. As Senior Principal at Alumni Ventures — a top 20 VC firm per TIME with $1.5B AUM — she leads Castor Ventures (AV's MIT fund) and the AV Women's Fund, and co-founded the AV Neurotech Syndicate. She invests at Seed through Series B across consumer, deep tech, commerce, and neurotech. Select investments include Groq ($20B exit), Cohere, Synchron, Mercor, Beacon Biosignals, and Psyonic.

Evy bootstrapped Evy Tea — a first-to-market cold brew brand — into a nationally distributed company over 11 years, founded Nudge Venture, an applied behavioral economics research studio, and earned an MS in Management of Technology as an MIT Sloan Fellow and Dean's Fellow.

She bets on founders who understand that the most durable competitive advantage isn't the product — it's the behavior it creates.
