Biography

Shae-Lynn is a 2022 alumna from Brown University's Master's in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (PRIME). Shae-Lynn grew up in Toronto, Canada where she played competitive ice hockey for many years, and even represented Canada on the first ice hockey team to travel to New Zealand, to play in an international tournament facing New Zealand's National Women's team. She has a French Baccalaureate degree from the Lycée Français de Toronto, and speaks Spanish (certified by the Cervantes Institute) and Mandarin (certified by the Hanban Confucius Institute) in addition to English and French. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California Santa Barbara. Shae-Lynn studied abroad for her entire junior year, visiting 14 countries in a single semester while studying on a ship through Semester at Sea, and spent the other semester in Sydney, Australia studying at the University of Sydney. As the PRIME Program Coordinator, Shae-Lynn supports and coordinates many different aspects of the program including marketing, event planning and recruitment. She is currently building a tech startup that aims to optimize the rental application process for foreign nationals in the U.S.
